My pop gave me a nickname at the age of 3 that my family and old friends still call me to this day. It's after one of the more obscure Hanna-Barbera characters. You'll have to ask me when you see me.

I've been happily married to my high school sweetheart Erica for 14 years. We have two awesome boys, Gabriel (age 10) and Diego (age 7).

My son Gabriel wrote and illustrated a mini-comic (photocopied 8-pager), (The Adventures of Marky Man). He is working on the second edition now.

I am the oldest of 4 siblings (3 sisters and a step brother).

When I was 5 years old I wanted to be an animator. I later discovered that I didn't have the patience required to be a good one. Too much repetition.

I'm a big fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. I've seen them play (in Pittsburgh) twice in the last four years!... They lost both times. I think I'm bad luck. ;-(

I collect fine tequilas.

My sister Leticia is a graphic designer and my brother Mark is a budding fine artist.

One of my guilty pleasures is watching food shows on tv. Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations and Man vs Food are my current favorites.

In the summer of 1988 I was commissioned to paint two murals to commemorate the expansion of the Visalia Mall. I was awarded those projects after winning a design contest held between fellow design students at The College of Sequoias for another mural. My first paid design gig. I had no idea what I was doing but it worked out well... thank goodness.
